The Mental Health Professional II / Team Lead / ACT Program (Aiken) will provide clinical leadership and oversight to the Assertive Community Treatment Program and manages team operations and staffing.

The Mental Health Professional II / Team Lead / ACT Program (Aiken) will provide clinical leadership and oversight to the Assertive Community Treatment Program and manages team operations and staffing.
Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional II / Team Lead / ACT Program (Aiken):
- Oversee the administrative operations of the team.
- Provide clinical oversight of services ensuring patients are seen in accordance with their needs and the delivery of best and ethical practices.
- Provide direct services to ACT service beneficiaries.
- Ensure services are documented in accordance with SCBHDD/QA requirements.
- Provide direct supervision to ACT team members to include but not limited to facilitate clinical supervision meetings, treatment team meetings, coordinating training for team and completing evaluations.
- Ensure a department commitment to cultural affairs and ensure all direct reports have a cultural affairs component to his or her planning document as a measurable objective.
- Comply with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan and ensure timely completion of prior authorizations.
- Pursue professional development through collegial consultation, continuing education and licensure.
- A Masters' degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service, or social service program.
- Must be licensed as licensed psychologist, LISW-CP, LPC or LMFT.
- Three year's experience working with adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness and a minimum of two years post graduate experience.
- In order to be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care. This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience. Please be sure to provide specific clinical activities on your application and/or resume.
- Ability to lift 5 pounds and operate a state vehicle.
- Supervisory experience.
- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Post hire, employees must:
- Have practical therapeutic knowledge of principles, methods and counseling practices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of serious and persistent mental illness.
- Have the ability to listen and understand and communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
- Have knowledge of psychopathology, family dynamics, family and group psychotherapy.
- Have the ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish objectives.
- Have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families and representatives of other professional disciplines.
- Have the ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports.
- Have the ability to organize and manage time. experience/skills/knowledge in provision of services, assessment, interviewing techniques.
- Have a high degree of independence, self-motivation & cultural sensitivity will be expected.
- Attend supervision from an assigned supervisor.
- Employee's activities are governed by SCBHDD and ABMHC policy and procedure.
- Be able to pass CPR and Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) Certification.
