Do you like working on a great team in a wonderful environment? If so, we have the opportunity for you! Flour Bakery + Cafe is now hiring for a full-time Prep staff position. The Prep position requires flexible availability and will report directly to the Kitchen Manager but will also be given direction from other location managers. Day-to-Day Performance Expectations: Execute prep list as written by KM or lead prep. Note the order in which tasks are to be completed. Provide support for coworkers in order to ensure prep is being done efficiently. Follow all recipes and techniques in food preparation. Be another set of eyes on product/Mom test Provide constructive feedback for the staff Handle food and clean stations per standard sanitation procedures. Assist with kitchen upkeep and deep cleaning tasks when production list is complete Help maintain an orderly and clean kitchen Skills for Qualification: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, push, pull, reach, and lift < 50 lbs. Ability to use all kitchen utensils safely, including knives, ovens, slicers, etc. Must be able to maintain grooming and uniform standards Excellent sense of urgency and hospitality Ability to recognize when and where further cleaning up to our standards Ability to take feedback and direction Willingness to work in a team and help all other departments, as needed Work Environment: Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises and machinery. Must be able to work around various aromas and fluctuating temperatures We do our best not to cross-contaminate anything containing gluten. However, there may be gluten in the air at times. We do our best to accommodate any staff allergy requests. Compensation: This position has an average starting compensation of $15.50 - 17.50 per hour ($15.50 per hour + a shared percentage of sales known as the BOH appreciation, which on average adds around $2 per hour).
