Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)Shift Information7 days on, 7 days off, Night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AMJob DescriptionThis temporary position offers an opportunity to join a dedicated Medical Surgical team in a rural healthcare setting. As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will perform a broad range of nursing duties, providing both direct and indirect patient care across various age groups, from post-partum neonates to geriatrics.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive patient care in the medical-surgical department, including high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric care.Utilize critical thinking skills to handle rapidly changing situations effectively.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.Engage in ongoing professional development, including cross-training in areas such as post-partum care, infusion, and wound therapies.Manage sensitive information professionally and maintain confidentiality at all times.Assist in maintaining infection control principles and monitor for potential adverse reactions to medications and treatments.QualificationsCurrent, unencumbered RN license from the state of Utah or a compact state.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.A minimum of 1-2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience is preferred.Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications or willingness to obtain them within one year of hire.Ability to earn NRP certification within one year of hire and provide related patient care.Strong customer service and communication skills, including proficiency in oral and written communication.Self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team.Capability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, demonstrating emotional maturity.Reliable and punctual in adhering to the work schedule.Willingness to accept additional duties as assigned.Why Join Our Team?Medical insurance with mental health coverage for the entire familyRetirement plan optionsPaid time offProfessional growth opportunities through continuing education and trainingThis is an exciting opportunity to experience the beautiful landscapes and vibrant community of Moab, Utah, renowned for its year-round recreational activities and friendly atmosphere.Please note that this workplace is drug-free and requires a pre-employment drug test and background check.
