PH Nursing Supervisor 1

Job Responsibilities

Under limited supervision, directs and supervises program plans for the client/population-based nursing services of Pulaski County Health Department. Provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and/or procedures. Provides community health services to the public. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Coordinates health department programs and activities with District Health Office in accordance with programmatic and funding guidelines. Provides supervision of public health staff and works with District Health Office on the management of the county public health budget. Serves as local public health contact for community agencies and partners. Coordinates Board of Health meetings and communication. The position could be assigned to work temporally in another county health dept within the health district should the need arise but based out of the Pulaski County Health Department.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Nurse license and CPR certification; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse Supervisor (HCP193) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred.
