The Speech Language Pathologist will deliver a range of speech-language pathology services. These services encompass screening and assessment, treatment planning, implementation, re-evaluation, discharge planning, and thorough documentation across various environments. The Speech Language Pathologist will also engage in program planning and protocol development as needed, contributing to the achievement of team objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations that include reviewing relevant historical data, performing specific assessments, and formulating recommendations while documenting results. Clearly communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting.

• Exhibit expertise in executing treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient presentation, and the changing healthcare landscape. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary. Identify and document any changes in the patient’s condition that may require adjustments to the care plan or additional medical/rehabilitation consultations.

• Ensure comprehensive discharge planning and follow-up care. Document and charge for patient care activities accurately and promptly, reflecting the patient’s care journey, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.

• Demonstrate effective time management skills and meet productivity targets. Maintain an accurate schedule. Show a professional commitment to facilitating seamless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and empathetic behaviors in a patient-centered environment.

• Proactively seek and engage in continuing education for personal and organizational growth. Act as a clinical instructor for students and assist in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

• Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY).

• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, the District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia, as required for your specific location(s).

• Possession of the American Speech Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence.

This position offers a compensation range of USD $65.00 per hour.
