Orthopedic Surgical Travel Nurse Opportunity

Surgical focus is orthopedics and joints. Required skills/certs/exp: Minimum years of experience: 2 years minimum. Hardstop - 2 years of experience - M/S Ortho experience. Traveler experience: Facility will accept 1st time travelers. Locals accepted / rate difference: Yes. Work setting skills required: MS/Tele. Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias & use of rapid response/code teams. IV therapy/phlebotomy skills required: Peripheral line care/management. Respiratory skills required: Nasal cannula & non-invasive airway management. Professional topics and skills required: Isolation precautions/PPE certs: BLS preferred.

Job details: Avg. daily census is 34; rooms/beds: 48. Shift: 36 hours can be offered. Will accept 13 weeks. 3 x 12 hour nights; 18:45 - 07:15. Call requirement: none. Float requirement: yes. Weekend requirement: yes, every other. Patient diagnoses: Fully surgical unit with occasional medical overflow. Surgical focus is orthopedics and joints, most common diagnoses include total knee replacement, total hip replacement, spinal fusions, and some women's overflow (including hysterectomies).
