Machinist, CNC - 2nd Shift

Join to apply for the Machinist, CNC - 2nd Shift role at MetalTek International . **Responsibilities:** Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of NC/CNC controlled lathes or machining centers to perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and angle and taper cuts to close tolerances and finish requirements. Work from routings, process sheets, and blueprints. Use precision instruments to set-up and inspect work. Assist in establishing program requirements. Make machine adjustments to correct deviations. Note and report program issues. Adjust programs as needed. Recommend tooling, fixtures, operational sequences. Mount and secure tooling, fixtures, platens, and workpieces. Assist in training new or less experienced operators. Run secondary or auxiliary operations when applicable. **Requirements:** Experience with Fanuc controls preferred. Solid knowledge of machine shop and CNC techniques. At least 2 years of CNC turning experience. Strong skills in shop math and blueprint reading. Experience with hoists and cranes. Personal tools, willingness to acquire additional tools. Experience on large diameter vertical lathes is a plus. Ability to lift up to 38 lbs.
