Software Engineering Program Manager - CRM

Medtronic Inc

Medtronic seeks a Software Engineering Program Manager for the Cardiac Rhythm Management division in Minnesota. This role leads cross-functional software development teams, managing program planning, execution, quality oversight, and stakeholder communication while ensuring regulatory compliance and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

Manage program estimation, planning, budgets, schedules, and cross-functional resource coordination
Own program execution, monitor dependencies, ensure milestones and deliverables are met on time
Serve as primary quality representative on core teams, embedding quality throughout development lifecycle
Lead Scrum events and collaborate with pre-market teams on sprint planning and retrospectives
Communicate program status, proactively manage risks and quality issues to leadership and stakeholders

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM field plus 5+ years technical experience, or advanced STEM degree with 3+ years technical experience
5+ years leading software development projects in medical device industry
Deep understanding of software and embedded systems architecture
Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills across organizational levels
Experience with software design controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery
