Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview This position is for an ICU Float Pool Nurse who will provide excellent patient care in various settings, including Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Overflow, and PACU units, as needed. Contract Details
- Start Dates: 11/16 (13-week contracts), 12/7 and 12/14 (8-week contracts)
- Shift: Day shift, 4x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Floating Requirement: Yes, this is a float position
- Holidays: Must work 3 out of 5 holidays
- Scheduling Requests: No accommodation for scheduling requests or RTO within the first 2 weeks
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU and other specified units.
- Float to different units as required, adapting to a variety of patient care settings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid California RN license.
- Certification: Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH required.
- Travelers: First-time travelers are accepted, provided they have experience in a facility with 400 beds or larger.
- Vaccination: Flu vaccine required; no declinations permitted.
- Special Requirements: Experience with PA Lines and Swan Ganz preferred; large hospital experience is essential.
