Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Associate AttorneySeeking a California Bar-licensed associate attorney with 1–3 years of civil litigation experience.We are seeking a talented and motivated associate attorney with one to three years of civil litigation experience to join our San Francisco office. This position is well suited for an attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, direct client contact, courtroom experience, and close mentorship from experienced litigators. Our associates are not limited to research assignments or isolated portions of cases. They participate in matters from initial evaluation through discovery, depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trial.Our practice includes employment, real estate, business, personal injury, insurance, construction, and other civil litigation matters. We represent both plaintiffs and defendants, providing our attorneys with broad and practical litigation experience.ResponsibilitiesDrafting complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and other pleadingsConducting sophisticated legal research and analysisPreparing and responding to written discoveryTaking and defending depositionsCommunicating directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnessesPreparing for and appearing at hearings, case management conferences, and other court proceedingsAssisting with and attending mediations, arbitrations, and trialsEvaluating claims, defenses, damages, and settlement strategyManaging deadlines and maintaining organized case filesDeveloping practical litigation strategies designed to achieve strong client outcomesQualificationsOne to three years of civil litigation experienceActive membership in good standing with the California State BarStrong legal research, writing, and analytical skillsExperience drafting pleadings, motions, and discoveryExcellent organizational and case-management abilitiesThe judgment and confidence to communicate directly with clients and opposing counselA strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality workThe ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative teamA professional, ethical, and solution-oriented approach to client representationPreferred experience: Depositions, courtroom appearances, mediation, or trial experience is preferred but not required.
