About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Texas**Start Date:** June 8, 2026**Location:** Austin, Texas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 13-week contract, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends, no call requirements

Highlights:

- 8-bed Labor and Delivery unit with 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratios- Comprehensive case mix including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC procedures- Meditech/CPN EMR system with advanced fetal monitoring technology including Novii, JADA, and intermediate monitoring capabilities- Collaborative team environment with experienced charge nurses and dedicated L&D nursing staff- No call requirements for this contract position- Opportunity for potential permanent placement after contract completion

Requirements:

- Active Texas RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required- Intermediate fetal monitoring certification required- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery- Competency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), sterile vaginal exams, and C-section circulation- Navy blue scrubs required (facility dress code)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with internal monitor placement- Previous experience in high-volume Level IV Labor and Delivery units- Familiarity with Meditech or CPN EMR systems
