About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Texas Start Date: June 8, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, night shift with rotating weekends, 13-week contract, no call requirements Highlights:

• 8-bed Labor and Delivery unit with 1:3 patient ratios for optimal care delivery
• Comprehensive case mix including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC procedures
• Advanced fetal monitoring equipment including Novii, JADA, fetal pillow, IUPC, FSE, and ultrasound technology
• Meditech/CPN EMR system with dedicated unit training and support
• Collaborative team environment with experienced charge nurses and cohesive nursing staff
• Opportunity for permanent placement available for qualified candidates

Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Intermediate fetal monitoring competency (electronic fetal monitoring)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery
• Competencies in sterile vaginal exam (SVE) and C-section circulation
• Preferred: Internal monitor placement competency and high-volume Level IV unit experience
