Senior Accountant

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (On-Site) Our client, a growing manufacturing company in the Salem area, is seeking a Senior Accountant. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations while helping strengthen financial processes and support the creation of new processes. What You'll Do Hands on processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer billing, and check runs Assist with the month-end close process and ensure timely completion of financial reporting activities Prepare journal entries and maintain amortization schedules Prepare and file Federal Excise Tax (FET) and state sales tax returns on a quarterly basis Reconcile bank accounts and manage online banking activity and portals Perform general ledger account reconciliations and ensure accurate classification of financial transactions Assist with financial period closings and ongoing accounting process improvements Collaborate with leadership to support company growth initiatives Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience required Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting preferred; equivalent experience will be considered Experience working with ERP systems Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Strong understanding of general accounting principles Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Manufacturing industry experience is a plus Paid Time Off Holidays Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Life Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage Free on-site parking Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr
