Industrial Maintenance Technician-Weekend Shift

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team for the weekend shift. This role involves servicing and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment using a variety of tools and equipment. The successful candidate will diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical issues, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and upkeep on all production equipment and facility systems.
• Assist with equipment setup and production start-up as needed.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE usage and pre-job hazard assessments.
• Implement preventative maintenance practices to minimize equipment failures and extend asset life.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and repair activities.
• Remain knowledgeable of and consistently follow all safety standards, promptly addressing safety concerns and workplace incidents.
• Contribute ideas and actively support initiatives that strengthen the company’s safety culture.

• Proficiency with cutting tools (torch, band saw, cutting wheel, grinder) and tool identification.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills, including unwiring and rewiring motors and using a voltmeter.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.

• Experience with changing motors and gearboxes, bearing replacement, and welding (Stick and MIG).
• Knowledge of VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, and experience with flow meters, pressure gauges, and temperature transmitters.
• Preferred experience with belt conveyors, bucket elevators, crushers, and screeners.
• Fork truck operation required; experience with man basket lift, scissor lift, lull/telehandler, and Bobcat preferred.

Our company provides uniforms, boot vouchers, tools, a toolbox, and all necessary PPE, including a safety glasses program. After six months of employment, employees are eligible for a pay-for-skills program, allowing them to test into different departments and qualify for corresponding pay increases.

Work Environment

This role requires regular standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands, with frequent reaching, climbing, and communication. It involves occasional physical movements such as kneeling or crouching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees work in environments that may include noise, temperature changes, and exposure to mechanical parts or chemicals. Wearing required PPE at all times is mandatory, with a strong focus on safety and awareness while performing duties.

This is a Permanent position based out of St. Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $70815.00 - $70815.00/yr.
