Job Responsibilities As a Mechatronics & robotics Technician, you will support the Operations & Maintenance team with repair and maintenance of material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will also install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians. Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures Perform preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays Maintain a positive working relationship across all Operations facilities Track and store department inventory Lift up to 49lbs and stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12hours, with or without reasonable accommodation Travel as required, up to 20% of the time Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field from a vocational school or college 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading experience 1+ year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and other safety standards Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions Physical Demands and Working Conditions Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking; lifting tools weighing on average 20lbs, occasionally up to 49lbs; eye/hand coordination; manual dexterity; work in small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, interior/exterior noise, vibration; standing on concrete for long hours; working at heights; maneuvering bulky equipment; standing/walking on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shifts; pushing/pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ lbs.
