Horticulture Camp Assistant

Classification: Temporary. Minimum Pay: $13.50 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with the level of the position, education, and experience. Job Description Summary The Camp Aide will assist the Camp Leader in providing fun-filled, active, and educational summer camp activities, including harvesting vegetables from the garden, simple cooking activities, and more. Camp Dates and Hours Training Day: Thursday, June 4. First day of Camps - Monday, June 8. Camps run Monday through Thursday, 9am - noon. Last day of Camps: Thursday, July 30. Responsibilities Camp Assistants are responsible for guiding a group of approximately four campers. The Camp Instructor will lead the camp; it is up to the Assistants to make sure their group is being safe, sanitary, taking turns, and helping with the basics. Location All camps are on MCC's Fort Omaha Campus off 32nd and Sorensen Parkway. Miscellaneous Background check required as part of hiring process.
