Job Position: Substitute School Nurse (RN)

Location: Wilmington, Delaware

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday Friday | School-Day Hours

Position Overview:

As a School Nurse, you will play an essential role in promoting student health and well-being. You'll provide direct nursing care, manage student health concerns, administer medications, and collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and school staff to help students remain healthy and successful in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily nursing care for students and staff
• Assess and manage student health concerns
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
• Communicate with parents, physicians, and school personnel regarding student health needs
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed
• Maintain confidential student health records
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations
• Provide nursing support during field trips and school-related activities when required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license meeting the State of Delaware School Nurse requirements
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required (3+ years preferred)
• Pediatric or School Nursing experience is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic proficiency with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office applications
