Full Time Administration 13 Glencoe, MN, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1104 Salary Range: $24.00 To $28.85 Hourly Position Summary Delta Fabricating is seeking an Inside Sales Associate. This position owns the front end of every customer order at Delta Fabricating, from the time a purchase order arrives until the job is released to the shop with a confirmed ship date. This position leads the contract review process, enters and maintains orders in M1, and serves as the customer's main point of contact while their order is in production. Key Responsibilities Contract Review and Order Entry Lead the contract review process for incoming orders. Confirm that requirements are complete, that the purchase order matches the quote (price, revision, quantity, and requested date), and that special requirements such as first article inspection, certifications, UL requirements, or special packaging are identified before Delta commits to the order. Bring in Engineering and the Shop Supervisor when capability, capacity, or lead time is in question, and resolve discrepancies with the customer before the order is acknowledged. Complete and maintain the contract review record for each order as required by Delta's quality management system. Enter customer purchase orders into M1 as sales orders and send acknowledgements with a confirmed ship date. Create jobs in M1 and assemble the job bag (current revision prints, customer specifications, and other documentation the shop needs) for release to the floor. Process customer change orders, revision changes, and reschedules. Update M1 and make sure Engineering and the shop are working from current information. Customer Communication Serve as the main point of contact for customers on order status, lead times, and delivery. Notify customers when a ship date is at risk before they have to ask, and work with the Shop Supervisor and Engineering to provide a recovery date the customer can rely on. Take in customer complaints and return requests and route them into the RMA and corrective action process. Prepare quotes for repeat and standard work, and support quoting on new or complex work. Follow up on open quotes. Manage blanket orders and scheduled releases. Records and Reporting Maintain accurate customer, part, and pricing records in M1. Maintain open order and backlog reports and support on-time delivery tracking. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience 3+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or order management, preferably in a manufacturing or made-to-order environment. Experience working in an ERP system. M1 experience is a plus. Ability to read customer drawings and purchase orders well enough to catch revision, quantity, and specification discrepancies, or the ability to learn it quickly. Clear, professional written and verbal communication with customers and coworkers. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
