Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Expected hours: 36/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting, including continuous cardiac monitoring and ECG rhythm recognition
• May float to other units within the same patient population as operationally needed
• May be assigned to care for patients on ventilators
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations; an acceptable score on both is required
• Expected to work at least every other holiday as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator-dependent patients
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience in an acute care or high-acuity hospital environment
