Summary:
Position SummaryThe Clinical Director is responsible for the daily clinical oversight of a Behavioral Health Residential Facility. The Clinical Director develops, directs, and supervises the treatment center's clinical processes, programs, and staff in delivering a broad range of substance use and other behavioral health services designed for and provided to men and women struggling with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders. The clinical director manages the clinical program in a way consistent with NAC's mission and philosophy, as well as clinical and ethical best practices and standards. Duties:
RESPONSIBILITIES:Trains, supervises, and evaluates the clinical supervisor and clinical staff; maintains documentation of staff supervision and/or oversight and provides regular supervision reports consistent with NAC policy and procedures.Supervises and coordinates the client treatment and discharge planning processes and meetings, including external provider / agency coordination of care and utilization review processes.Works in collaboration with the Sr Director of Residential Services to ensure quality care is provided to clients in residential treatment.Participates in the development / refinement of clinical programs, policies and procedures, and overall organizational operations.Supervises and ensures the timely completion and maintenance of accurate client medical records in accordance with NAC Policies and Procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.Provides individual, group and family counseling, and assessments, including diagnostics as needed. Participates in internal committees such as QM Committee and CLAS Committee and represents NAC within the provider community.Actively participates in NAC Leadership Team Meetings.Supports and actively engages in practices of inclusion through Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards.Oversees Cultural Services provided for clientsOther duties as assigned. WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENT:Ten plus years of progressive experience in the delivery and supervision of substance use and other behavioral health services.Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, and vendors.Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.Previous experience in working with diverse cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds.Demonstrates a working knowledge of local, state, and federal standards and State licensure requirements.Requires strong clinical skills.Excellent customer service skills.Experience in working with the Native American population preferred.Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem- solving and organizational and time management skills.Must be able to work well with others in a team approach.Requires strong managerial and leadership skills.Fingerprint Clearance Card.Bilingual- Spanish desiredMS Office proficiency Work Type:
