The Meat Cutter / Deli & Kitchen Team Member plays a crucial role in maintaining quality and efficiency in the meat cutting, deli preparation, and kitchen areas. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this position involves hands-on use of manual meat cutting tools, automated slicing machines, and various kitchen appliances. The role also requires frequent customer interaction and adherence to strict food safety standards during day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform precise meat cutting using manual and automated equipment
- Prepare deli products and support kitchen operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols
- Engage with customers to assist and provide product knowledge
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in meat cutting or deli operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in meat cutting techniques and knife handling
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with inventory management
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Close attention to detail to maintain product quality
