Description

• Assess patients from pediatric through to geriatric groups employing standardized measures and observational methods.
• Create bespoke therapy plans that cater to immediate goals as well as long-term communicative, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and other caregivers to develop unified care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and families that facilitates progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure consistent care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Ensure that documentation is precise and completed promptly, in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain awareness of the latest advancements in the field through peer activities.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are yet to obtain ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

• Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches for all age groups, coupled with an understanding of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
