Energy Storage Engineer (remote)

14893 - Energy Storage Engineer (remote) - Juno Beach, FL Start Date : ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration :12 months with possible extensions Work Setting: Remote. Travel 25% dedicated to in office visits. Our client is filling this contract position exclusively through approved staffing partners, so this opportunity is not available by applying directly with the client. • Experience with Solar/PV engineering and/or construction (3+ years)
• Experience with one or more of the following: power electronics, battery storage system design, substation design, or generation tie design
• Experience with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters
• Experience with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections)
• Experience with IEC 61215, 61646, and 61730 standards

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects
• Identify inconsistencies in engineering drawings and studies, and recommend corrective actions to improve design quality and efficiency
• Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts
• Support projects from inception to completion in close collaboration with project managers
• Manage project milestones, monitor progress, and identify risks
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to integrate major equipment and systems
• Travel approximately 25% of the time for project-specific duties
