Long-Term Substitute Teacher

Seymour Community Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year.The Long Term Substitute Teacher shall possess a valid DPI Wisconsin Substitute Teaching License or be eligible to earn the appropriate license with a Bachelor's Degree. The Long Term Substitute Teacher will be responsible for teaching middle school students. Hours/Benefits: The hours are Monday-Friday 7:30-3:30, on days that students are in session. This position is not eligible for benefits and is a temporary position. Performance Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver curriculum based on district frameworks to meet learning objectives, student needs and District procedures. Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures to maintain discipline in accordance with the rules of the school. Maintain an organized classroom that is conducive to student learning. Assign, grade, and provide feedback on learning activities in order to support and monitor students’ progress. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development and prepare required reports detailing student progress. Participate in school activities during and outside of the school day. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and students needs in a timely manner. Remain free of any alcohol or illegal substance in the workplace in compliance with Board policies throughout his/her employment in the District.
