Office Clerk

Job responsibilities include:

• answering telephones and taking messages or providing callers with general information correctly
• Preparing, storing, and retrieving lists and documents as needed
• Updating and storing department forms on a computer using word processing software (Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, etc.)
• Sorting, date stamping, and distributing mail and packages correctly
• Maintaining alphabetic, numeric, and/or chronological files of correspondence, documents and materials by coding and filing new material, searching for requested material and periodically purging obsolete media
• Scheduling meetings and appointments using Outlook and Microsoft software
• Entering and retrieving information correctly
• Collecting fees and accounts for monies received utilizing web software
• Demonstrating working knowledge of modern office terminology, procedures, equipment (phones, computer, fax) and business English
• Demonstrating working knowledge of the principles and practices of computerized records and maintenance
• The ability to perform close, detail work involving considerable visual effort and concentration
• Demonstrating ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• The ability to maintain neat and legible records
