Speech Language Pathologist - SLP

MLee Medical Employment

Empower Communication Across the Lifespan in the Heart of Texas - Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

What if your next career move gave voice to purpose - literally? As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Central Texas's most vibrant communities, your work will do more than address communication and swallowing disorders. It will unlock potential, restore confidence, and build human connection - from toddlers learning their first words to seniors reclaiming their independence.

This role is a unique opportunity to serve a wide range of individuals across the lifespan in a setting that blends outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Whether you're passionate about pediatric language development, adult neurogenic communication disorders, or geriatric cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you'll find fulfillment and flexibility here.

Description
  • Evaluate patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using standardized assessments and observational techniques.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that address short-term goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Provide one-on-one speech therapy interventions focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to create cohesive care strategies.
  • Offer patient and family education to support progress outside of clinical sessions.
  • Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuity of care throughout the treatment journey.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Stay current with advances in the field through continuing education and peer collaboration.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Skills
  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches for all ages, with a strong understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse cultural and linguistic needs.
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Flexible scheduling for work-life balance and varied caseloads.
  • Opportunities to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatrics.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
  • Continuing education reimbursement and professional development support.
  • Collaborative, team-based environment focused on quality care and lifelong learning.

A Career That Moves with You - and Moves You

In this role, you won't just provide speech therapy - you'll become part of a community-driven mission to restore voices, strengthen communication, and create moments of joy through the simplest human acts: understanding and being understood.

You'll work alongside clinicians who treat each other like family, in a setting that believes in collaboration over competition. Every patient has a story; we'll trust you to help shape how it's told.

Why You'll Love Living and Working Here

There's a rhythm to life in this part of Central Texas that blends the energy of innovation with the soul of southern hospitality. Nestled among the rolling hills of the Hill Country and intersected by the flowing waters of the Colorado River, this region is a haven for those who crave a balance between nature, culture, and opportunity.

Families gather in shaded greenbelts for live music and picnics, while outdoor lovers hike limestone trails, kayak spring-fed waters, or spend weekends exploring Texas wineries and farmers markets. Foodies savor everything from street tacos at a corner food truck to James Beard-nominated kitchens serving up refined takes on local favorites.

The area's creative heartbeat is felt in every mural, heard in every bar that hosts local musicians, and experienced in every festival that brings together people from all walks of life. And for professionals, the benefits go beyond lifestyle - no state income tax, a relatively low cost of living, and a booming healthcare ecosystem make this region a place where careers take root and thrive.

Whether you're new to the profession or a seasoned clinician ready to branch out, here you'll find the space to grow - personally and professionally.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a Speech Language Pathologist who's driven not only by outcomes but also by empathy. Someone who sees a quiet child and envisions a future of self-expression, who hears the slurred words of a stroke survivor and hears determination.

You might be a pediatric specialist looking to expand into adult services - or a neuro-based clinician eager to incorporate early intervention into your practice.

Whatever your passion, if you're ready to serve with heart and lead with skill, we're ready to welcome you.

Let's Find the Right Words - Together

If you believe speech is more than sound, and therapy is more than tasks - if you believe in building trust before tackling goals, and laughter as much as language - then this just might be the next chapter in your career story.

Join us in a community that celebrates communication, connection, and the courage it takes to begin again. Apply today to bring your voice to our team - and help others find theirs.
