Dental Hygienist Position

Permanent position for RDH - Registered Dental Hygienist in a San Leandro, California general office. Days needed are Mondays and Wednesdays 9-6. Hours can be flexible if you want. Requirements Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screenings and x-rays
• Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructions and demonstrations of effective oral hygiene methods
• Communicate with doctor where there are opportunities in patients for restorative and/or periodontal needs
• Obtain and review dental history and/or records from patient (review patient health history and care slips) and ensure health history is updated for all returning patients
