Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianA growing industrial company in Sparta, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. The Preventative Maintenance Technician will perform a wide variety of diversified installation, repair maintenance and service operations on all plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. Diagnoses and corrects difficulties found in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic operation of equipment. Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:Performs mechanical operations to install, maintain and repair die cast machines, furnaces, compressors, trim presses, machine tools and other equipmentDiagnoses and corrects difficulties encountered in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical operation of equipmentInstalls, adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical equipment and controls including PLC equipmentInspects machines and equipment and prepares reports following standard proceduresWelds and operates forklift as requiredMaintains necessary records and reportsAssists other maintenance personnel as neededWastewater management including monitoring and clean-upPerforms preventative maintenance and service operations throughout the plant, office, and ground areasMaintain and update all related forms and documentsAlways communicate problems with the Maintenance Manager and Shift Supervisor/Production Manager on pertinent issuesComplies with all company employment policies, procedures/processes, and programs. Performs duties in compliance quality, safety, and manufacturing requirementsOther duties as assigned from time-to-timeMaintenance Technician Qualifications:Experience in blueprint, schematic, and diagram reading for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsExperience or training in use of testing equipmentValid forklift licenseValid Crane licenseValid Aerial licenseValid Lock Out Tag Out LicenseBasic hydraulic and welding experienceSchneider Ecostructure software experience3-5 Years of Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with Allen Bradley SLC-500 and Compact Logix and Control LogixDie Cast Maintenance experienceEffective verbal and written communicationWalk and stand for prolonged periods of timeAble to visually see close, distant, and in color. Able to adjust eye focus to bring an object into sharp focus when needed. Able to utilize peripheral vision and depth perceptionPeriodically carry or lift materials weighing up to 50lbsSchedule and Pay:2nd shift Hours: 3:00pm-11:20pm Monday-Thursday, OT as needed3rd Shift, Hours: 11:00pm-7:20am, Sunday-Thursday, OT as needed$23-$25/hour based on experienceLocation: Sparta, MIPosition Type: Full Time Evaluation to Hire
