Assistant General Manager

Blue Elephant in Wayne is seeking an experienced and dynamic   Assistant General Manage r   to oversee daily operations in our establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service, managing staff, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. This role requires   strong leadership skills and a passion for the food service industry.

Duties

• Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
• Lead and train staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Handle cash management, including processing transactions and reconciling cash drawers.
• Utilize POS systems effectively to manage orders and track sales performance.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain a positive dining experience.
• Monitor restaurant performance metrics and develop strategies for improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively.
• Knowledge of inventory control processes and catering operations is preferred.
• Proficiency in cash handling procedures and experience with POS systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience in a restaurant with comparable steps of service and volume
• Toast POS or similar POS experience
• Previous experience with P&L, inventory, and COGs strongly preferred
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities required
