Production Supervisor

An industry-leading manufacturer-boasting over 65 years of excellence and 2.4 million square feet of state-of-the-art production space-is actively seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor near Eclectic, Alabama. As a key leader on the production floor, you will oversee daily operations, mentor and train staff to achieve peak performance, and drive lean manufacturing initiatives to ensure optimal safety, quality, and productivity.

This position offers a competitive starting salary of up to $80,000 (depending on experience), alongside a comprehensive health and retirement benefits package.

responsibilities:

• Achieves results by establishing priorities, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, or procedures

• Maintains quality of staff by hiring, training, developing, and mentoring employees to ensure maximum performance

• Manages workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting process variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel, and developing reporting procedures

• Implement existing production standards and make adjustments as necessary to produce products within specifications

• Recommend and implement action plans to correct deviations noted during daily work, internal or external audits

• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other reports to determine production requirements

• Complete administration duties that include time and attendance system, holiday/vacation planning, production reports, back-order reviews, past due list, and safety violations/concerns
