Maintenance Service Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Service Technician who will perform a variety of handyman and maintenance tasks using existing knowledge of measuring, cutting, drilling, fastening, and assembling materials to job specifications. This role is responsible for installing a variety of retail fixtures, railings, doors and door hardware, cabinetry, and décor packages, while also troubleshooting and diagnosing issues to help formulate long-term solutions.

Essential Duties May Include
In the First 30 Days and Ongoing

• Complete the onboarding program during the first week, including basic safety training, equipment certification, CPR certification, and OSHA training if not already completed.
• Demonstrate proficiency in measuring, cutting, drilling, fastening, and assembling materials to job specifications.
• Perform a variety of handyman and maintenance tasks using established carpentry and construction techniques.
• Install retail fixtures, railings, doors and door hardware, cabinetry, and décor packages using finish carpentry skills.

By the 90-Day Mark and Ongoing

• Effectively complete service calls while following appropriate safety procedures and company standards.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to assist in developing long-term solutions.
• Utilize strong time management skills to maintain schedules and ensure work meets quality standards, plans, specifications, and deadlines.
• Demonstrate general safety knowledge by wearing appropriate PPE, operating tools safely, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Within the 6- to 12-Month Mark and Ongoing

• Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members to provide updates and keep projects moving forward.
• Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, compassion, and empathy when working with clients and coworkers.
• Take pride in workmanship and craftsmanship while encouraging the same commitment to quality among coworkers and subcontractors.

Education, Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of maintenance, facilities, handyman, or related construction experience required
• 3+ years of commercial construction experience required
• 3+ years of retail carpentry experience required
• Plumbing experience is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of construction methods
• Ability to perform physical duties common to carpentry and maintenance positions, including lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, and use of hand tools
• Experience planning and executing interior and exterior carpentry projects preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Valid California Driver's License, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a background check
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety standards
• Ability to travel to work sites and accommodate overnight stays of up to one week as needed

Pay Range

$25-$34/hour
