Clinicians will be expected to:Conduct initial assessments including mental status examinations and pharmacological evaluationsPrescribe medications only after ensuring a thorough assessment is done to rule out medical or other causes as contributary factors to presenting symptoms.Clinicians who understand that clients are unique in every way and must be treated as such.Ensure careful considering when prescribing to ensure the benefits of medications outweigh the risksProvide services to clients based on current status, risk, and as clinically indicatedSupport staff to provide recovery-oriented and trauma-informed servicesParticipate in staff meetingsProvide crisis intervention services supporting staff as neededCommunicate with hospital ER attending when clients access emergency servicesSupport and coordinate discharge planning with hospital and ER staff to ensure a smooth transition in careConduct risk assessment, provide guidance and direction on risk managementUse e-prescribingComplete progress notes, significant events, referrals, and evaluations within expected timeframesProvide individual counseling as part of the plan of care if and when neededUse Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and data reports from EMR to track treatment progress and individual client outcomesProvide crisis intervention servicesUse collaborative documentation procedures for assessment and individual sessions with clientsCommunicate with other healthcare providers and deliver integrated treatment in coordination with external providers.Work in collaboration with the client and significant others to support recovery goalsProvide psychotherapy individual and groupQualificationsValid Maryland, DC or Virginia license for practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner;Extensive experience working with people with serious mental illness, and co-occurring substance use disorders, and primary health care problemsExcellent written and communication skillsEligible to obtain and maintain employmentAdditional InformationGreat environment and cultureWe are seeking several optimistic and open-minded individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced collaborative work environment to start immediately.
