Overview RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) PRN Work location: Texas Health Cleburne, 201 Walls Drive, Cleburne, Texas 76031 Work environment: Respiratory Care Work hours: PRN - Variable Shifts including rotating weekends and holidays What You Need Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program (required) 1 year of experience in Med/Surg or Critical Care (preferred) RCP – Respiratory Care Practitioner (required) RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist (required) BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support required prior to independent patient care ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 90 days) NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required within 90 days) NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required within 90 days) Position Responsibilities Obtain and verify physician orders for therapy and validate for appropriateness Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from patient or family Evaluate each patient using age-appropriate assessment tests and measurements Use therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and treatment goals Determine patient response to treatment and evaluate progress (reassessment) Educate patient and family through instruction, demonstration, or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, and home programs/self-management Maintain bedside and ventilator alarms in audible position Communicate with physicians and other healthcare personnel regarding patient care issues Administer medications in a safe/correct manner, adhering to medication administration guidelines Document aspects of each treatment session in accordance with departmental, Joint Commission, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines Document assessments of education needs, education provided, and patient understanding of education provided in accordance with departmental, JCAHO, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines Benefits Benefits include 401k, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Programs, as well as other benefits Delivery of high-quality patient care Supportive, team environment with opportunities for growth #J-18808-Ljbffr Texas Health Resources
