Data Engineer - Snowflake / AWS

Note:
This role is located in Portland, OR and follows a Full Onsite work model, requiring 5 days onsite each week. The position is available to eligible candidates based in the United States only.


Skill Requirements:

• Proficiency in snowflake for data warehousing and cloud data platform.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, cost optimization).
• Solid expertise in AWS (data engineering services and integrations).
• Experience with enterprise data warehousing and large-scale system integrations.
• Some exposure to UI or data visualization layers is beneficial.
• Experience with DBT (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling.
• Strong command of SQL for querying and manipulating data in databases.
• Proficient in python programming for scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills to effectively lead and motivate technical teams towards project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage technical teams in the development and implementation of snowflake data solutions.
• Design, build, and optimize data models using snowflake and DBT for efficient data processing.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Utilize python for scripting and automation of data processes and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure the successful delivery of technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members to enhance overall technical capabilities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide resolutions in a timely manner to ensure smooth project execution.
