Job Opportunity – Oncology / Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Night or Night shift (12-hour rotating shifts based on unit needs); weekends vary based on staffing requirements; schedule reviewed every 4-week period

Highlights:

• Comprehensive cancer center with 318 acute care beds and specialized 36-bed inpatient oncology units
• Float to multiple specialized oncology units including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, and Surgical Oncology
• Staffing ratios: PCU 1:3 to 1:4 with mixed acuity; Med/Surg Tele 1:4 to 1:5
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more
• Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives
• 100 hours of orientation including dedicated bedside training

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of current, high-acuity Medical Surgical Telemetry experience or higher required
• Oncology experience strongly preferred but not required
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Experience with Epic EMR, telemetry monitoring, chemotherapy administration and monitoring, central line management, blood product administration, and various oncology procedures preferred
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
