Occupational Therapist - Outpatient Hand Therapy

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:30 AM - 06:00 PM), Monday to Friday.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for patient evaluation, development, and execution of treatment plans to support patient recovery in outpatient hand therapy settings. This role requires experience in managing post-operative hand surgeries and splinting techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' conditions and design individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and goals.
• Maintain comprehensive patient documentation, including progress notes and discharge summaries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required.
• Valid Oregon license to practice as an Occupational Therapist or license eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA required within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification preferred.
• Experience in outpatient hand therapy and with post-op hand surgeries.
• Proficiency in splinting techniques.
