Maintenance Technician

The line maintenance technician's responsibility is to perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance on all plant equipment and structure of the facility. Key accountabilities and outcomes include observing all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations, following all established good manufacturing practices, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical and electrical failures, assuring preventive maintenance program is conducted on all plant equipment, providing emergency unscheduled repairs of production equipment, performing welding, cutting, and soldering using electric and gas equipment, and reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Knowledge, skills, and experience required include a high school diploma or GED, technical school diploma with concentration in mechatronics and industrial instrumentation preferred, ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical failures, ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders, ability to read and understand related diagrams and symbols, ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial drives, ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low voltage control loops, ability to install and wire instrumentation, high degree of judgment with the ability to look beyond the basic task list on the work order, knowledge of power and hand tools, ability to lift 50 pounds, ability to communicate in a professional manner with all employee levels at the plant, aptitude and willingness to keep pace with an ever-changing environment, three or more years of experience in food manufacturing maintenance environment preferred, experience in completing light machining and metal fabrication is a plus, experience in performing welding, cutting, and soldering using electric and gas equipment.

Compensation is in accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location. Hourly rate $40.00 - $49.00.
