RN - Same Day Surgery

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated RN to join our Same Day Surgery department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in outpatient surgery services and be skilled in pre-operative and post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Administer pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery, including obtaining vitals and consent.
• Assist in the performance of various surgical procedures.
• Provide post-operative care, including discharge instructions related to the surgical process.
• Utilize standard hospital equipment and EMR (EPIC) for patient documentation.

Schedule

This position requires availability to work from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, covering 5 days a week. Travelers will typically work from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license
• Certifications: ALS, BLS
• Experience in Same Day Surgery and Surgery departments
• IV start skills and knowledge of pre-operative and post-operative procedures
