Key Responsibilities of the RN - Stepdown - Travel

• Provide high-quality care to higher acuity neuroscience patients
• Monitor and manage Stepdown patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
• Implement NIH protocols for stroke patients
• Coordinate with charge nurses and respond to physician orders for drip titration
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists for floor vent management

Requirements of the RN - Stepdown - Travel

• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS preferred
• Strong neuro experience, including caring for stroke patients
• Experience with common titratable drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro
• EPIC systems experience required
