Role Overview To join our Residential New Construction team based in Providence as an Energy Rating Specialist serving all of Rhode Island. You will work with design and construction teams from initial project planning through final construction – performing energy modeling and field inspections through various stages of the construction process to support the delivery of CLEAResult’s portfolio of Residential New Construction services including: HERS Ratings Energy Code Compliance Energy Star Homes Passive House Responsibilities Review construction blueprints and plans Generate energy modeling using REM-Rate/EKOTROPE software Collect site data and perform diagnostic testing, including the use of blower door and duct blaster Collect and produce documentation related to the progress, status, and outcome of each project, and prepare and submit required documents to verify code compliance, green certification, and rebate eligibility Successfully communicate technical concepts to contractors in support of energy efficiency and green specifications Initiate outreach to potential clients to ensure program enrollment goals are met Enroll clients in the program Work with project teams to establish goals and identify available resources for each project Support projects from initial modeling to final construction, and assist project teams with meeting their goals (energy savings, code compliance, green verification) Provide project teams with technical assistance and training to overcome barriers, achieve their goals and secure applicable program incentives Participate in ongoing training and education provided by CLEAResult to build a solid technical knowledge of building science, diagnostics testing and the latest industry developments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred (Building Science - Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field); field experience may substitute for degree for right candidate Experience in Residential Construction preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Compensation Target compensation: $64,000 - $66,000 depending on experience.
