About the Position

• Position: Operating Room Technician
• Location : Burlington, Vermont 05401
• Weekly Pay: $2,430
• Duration: 6 Weeks (possibility of extension) 
• Schedule: 40 Hours/Week
• Shift: 8-Hour Rotating
• Shift Time: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Schedule Pattern: 2-week rotating schedule

Position Responsibilities
As an OR Technician, you will support the surgical team in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-prepared operating environment. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting RNs and the surgical team with operating room preparation and procedures.
• Performing scrub duties and maintaining sterile technique during surgical cases.
• Setting up and breaking down surgical rooms before and after procedures.
• Ensuring instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly prepared and available.
• Assisting with C-sections and related gynecological procedures .
• Supporting unit operations and assisting RNs with appropriate tasks when not assigned to scrub.
• Maintaining adherence to infection-control, safety, and surgical protocols.
• Working effectively within a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of OR Technician experience
• Recent OB experience is REQUIRED
• Experience in a busy, large teaching hospital (500+ beds) required
• Must be proficient in scrubbing C-sections and related GYN procedures
• AHA BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and OR procedures
• Ability to adapt to a rotating schedule and changing surgical needs
