Job Summary The Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation of the assigned equipment with PLC computer-controlled process equipment, freezer, machinery, and evaluation of any process problems in addition to performing product quality testing. Schedule- Monday to Thursday 2:00pm to 11:00pm Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Oversees assigned area of process making sure to follow GMP's and maintain a clean area. Maintain steady flow of material through process. Control flow of material through process to finished goods storage. Monitor PLC panel to accomplish process. Perform periodic preventative maintenance for assigned equipment in process. Monitor machinery; bring all problems to attention of management. Assures equipment and work area is clean after each shift. Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. Specific Assigned Duties Monitor assigned equipment to achieve optimum rate per hour of product in assigned area. Including: Grinder rate lbs./hour Beehive rate lbs./hour Freezing rate lbs./hour Palletizer lbs./hour. Monitor blenders to optimize rate of product to freezers. Monitor freezing rate to maintain ammonia system. Monitor freezers to achieve optimum rate per hour of finished product. Monitor palletizer to achieve optimum rate per hour of finished product. Monitor and Operate wastewater control. Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum one (1) year prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment preferred. Knowledge of mechanical processes. Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting; skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipment. Basic math skills; ability to compute decimals and percentages. Basic computer skills. Good oral and written skills. Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations. Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
