Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) Team Lead

Night shift position, working Monday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with occasional holiday shifts required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sterile processing.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Previous leadership or charge experience is necessary.
• Certifications required: HSPA (IAHCSMM) or CBSPD.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily sterile processing operations to support department workflow.
• Coordinate the preparation, decontamination, sterilization, assembly, packaging, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Ensure all instrumentation is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and functional prior to patient use.
• Support quality initiatives, inventory management, and adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Mentor staff members and assist with coordinating workflow.
• Utilize Censitrac and other documentation systems to maintain instrument tracking and uphold quality standards.

Additional Information

• Position is within a teaching hospital environment.
• Serves as a Level I Trauma Center.
• Floating may be required between multiple locations within the region.
