Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant for a contract opportunity in San Francisco, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong full-cycle accounting, auditing, governmental accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting experience.

The Accountant will support accounting operations across multiple divisions, prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, assist with financial statements, and participate in audit activities. Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accounting records across multiple organizational divisions, including administration, development, and operations.
- Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries, including accruals, allocations, cash activity, capital assets, debt service, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers, resolving discrepancies related to invoices, purchase orders, encumbrances, and retention.
- Review financial activity across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and capital assets for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with the production of financial statements.
- Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, physical inventories, and cash audits.
