As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Private Duty Nurse at MedCare, you'll have the opportunity to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in a setting where children thrive—their own homes. Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Qualifications and Responsibilities: Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license Current CPR certification Valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance Minimum of 6 months of pediatric home health experience as an LVN required Provide skilled one-on-one nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes during 8-12-hour shifts, allowing them to remain safely with their families instead of an inpatient facility Care for children with serious illnesses, medical complexities, disabilities, or those recovering from injuries or extensive surgery Assess patient conditions during each visit, including monitoring vital signs, seizure activity, and providing care for gastrostomy tubes (G-tubes), tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to the individualized plan of care Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality patient outcomes Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Benefits & Schedule: Full-time and part-time opportunities available Day, night, weekday, and weekend shifts available throughout the Greater Houston area and surrounding communities Flexible scheduling with 8-12-hour private duty shifts Competitive pay of $22-$26 per hour , plus night and weekend differentials Employee referral bonus program Medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays Supportive leadership, ongoing clinical support, and opportunities for professional growth Why Join MedCare Pediatric?
