What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with campus contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe campus activity, and report maintenance issues, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders and location expectations.
• Support campus operations during special events, class changes, and high-traffic periods by providing visible presence, directional assistance, and timely communication regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
