Software Engineering ManagerThe Lockheed Martin Space Based Interceptor (SBI) team is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Leader to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Manages software development activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the design, development, documentation, and testing of software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Ensures software standards are met.Basic Qualifications:Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teamsExperience working embedded software developmentExperience leading software development teams and projectsExperience with staffing and talent developmentDesired Skills:Working knowledge of C++.Understanding of the full software life-cycle (design, development, integration, test, qualification).Experience with Agile SW development environments.Ability to translate technical details into clear documentationProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay Information:Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
