May include Architectural Design, Requirements Engineering, or others. Determine system specifications. Support acquisition of hardware and software (or subcontractor services as needed). Support and participate in technical activityDesign, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments Ability to work independently under supervision of othersProvide regular reporting of progress and statusResponsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirementsReview customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and servicesSupport the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirementsDevelop prototypes to retire key development risks as directedCommunicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as requiredMay participate in preparation of less complex proposalsSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationAttend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetingsInvolved in the formation and decomposition of system and sub-system level requirements-Involved in the development of test plans and proceduresInvolved in both integration (unit) testing, as well as formal qualification test eventsTroubleshoot faults in hardware and software, and documentation of suchEnsure documentation and components are configuration managed correctlyQualificationsNovice technical expertise and application domain knowledge Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Related technical fieldPreferred QualificationsExperience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Cameo)Experience in a lab environment, working with hardware and software troubleshooting toolsKnowledge of test methodology / design of experimentsDevelopment of technical documentation for a non-technical audienceExperience or involvement with RF designs and waveform testingExperience or involvement with modern electronic keying architectureU.S. Citizenship required.
