Full Time Operatives Groveton, NH, US 18 days ago Requisition ID: 1705 Salary Range: $18.00 To $29.00 Hourly FLSA Status: Non Exempt Job Summary Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel parts using MIG and/or TIG process. The work is repetitive in nature and requires a strong sense of details. Responsibility to perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by your supervisor may be required. Key Responsibilities Set up welding machines based on the job at hand. Read & interpret blueprints and or drawings to determine the specific welding required. MIG or TIG weld Steel, Aluminum or stainless steel. Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards. Must wear PPE to include but not limited to welding helmet and welding gloves. Must be able to use precision measuring tool to inspect grooves and angles. Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment. Follow company rules and policies. Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task. Follow safety rules and quality standards. Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Must have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner. Must show up at work on time and as scheduled. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred. One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience required. Two years of experience with MIG or TIG welding required. Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel preferred. Ability to read blueprints. Basic math skills. Physical and Environmental Conditions Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to stand, sit, bend and kneel without difficulty. Ability to repeatedly lift/pull/push 50lbs. Exposure to loud noises. Exposure to heat and fumes.
