The facility requires locum tenens coverage for approximately 8 weeks per year, primarily to accommodate staff vacations. Both inpatient and ambulatory service lines are supported within this on-site assignment. About the Clinician's Workday The ophthalmologist will provide on-site ambulatory coverage on Tuesdays for 8-hour shifts, with Wednesday ambulatory coverage available on a PRN basis when ROP treatment is indicated. Inpatient responsibilities consist of Wednesday NICU rounding for retinopathy of prematurity from 7 AM to 1 PM, followed by afternoon clinic when ROP treatment or follow-up care is required. Coverage is structured primarily to support staff vacations across approximately 8 weeks per year. Board certification in Ophthalmology is required for this assignment.
