The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, driving sales, and leading a high-performing team. Location: San Antonio International Airport (SAT) 9800 Airport Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78216 Schedule: Mandatory weekend availability Pay: up to $52,000 annually Job Type: Full-time Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Employer-Paid Life Insurance Disability Insurance Paid Time Off 401k with company match Employee Discount Job Responsibilities Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance and achieving KPI targets Assist in training, motivating, and coaching the sales team to provide exceptional customer service Assist with large sales transactions and help staff build multi-item sales Open and close the store, ensuring proper security procedures are followed Maintain a strong knowledge of store merchandise, including clothing, shoes, T-shirts, gifts, souvenirs, and sundries Monitor stock levels and communicate with management regarding merchandise fit, popularity, and replenishment needs Utilize store software systems effectively for inventory tracking, sales reporting, and store operations Assist in merchandising, visual displays, and store presentation to ensure an appealing shopping experience Assist with inventory management, receiving shipments, and merchandise transfers Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner Ensure compliance with company policies, loss prevention strategies, and safety procedures Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager Job Requirements 2+ years of experience in a lead or management role within a fast-paced retail environment. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to train, coach, and motivate a sales team. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and retail POS systems. Ability to stand, walk, and lift merchandise up to 60 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation TAM Card (Alcohol Beverage Awareness Certification) may be required, depending on location.
